Adrian, American Seal, Rebbacca, a Canadian NATO Executive light a match one night while serving in the desert.
Adrian goes on to next job. Rebecca has to resign because that Seal knocked her up. They both continue their lives.
Did you really think that was all. Haha! There is so much more to this story. Alexis writes stories that wrap you up and don't let go until the end.
This is exiting, sexual, in a great story about what can happen when two people can't forget each other but bring the past along with them. You won't want to put it down.
I can't believe this book is written by Alexis Abbott. I love her books but this one is just so corny. The H and h sleep together once, a year goes by and they meet up again only to declare their undying love for each other and he almost immediately proposes after hearing he is the father of her child. The action is good but they keep talking like teenagers in love for the first time. I love you, can't live without you, you complete me, you saved me, you were meant for me, etc. etc. etc. Skipped many pages.
I absolutely loved Rebecca and Adrian's book. This is definitely my favorite book of Alexis Abbott! It may have to do that Adrian is a former Navy SEAL and I love books with SEALs as the hero. This is a beautifully written love story, but it is so much more. If you're looking for a book with action and suspense, you need to one-click Sights on the SEAL. I recommend this book to anyone looking for a fast read with plenty of sexy times.
Adrian is your typical over-whelmingly studly, Superman..... oops, I mean, military SEAL. And Becca is the quiet, intelligent, mature ex-NATO, officer. She's also a strong, loving, adoring, nurturing, mother, and woman. "It's all good." The even more unbelievable parts are their love at first sites, the completely understandings and forgiving by each of them, and except for a few scratches- the total lack of injury on both their parts with all the firefights, jumping trains, and walking into mob bosses territory. I guess they live completely lucky lives. Well, he is Irish you know- O'Connor. A fun couple of hours I guess, but not realistic. Pure fiction. ;-)
This is a story of a navy seal and a NATO worker who have a one night stand. They don't see or hear from each other for 2 years and then they reconnect . Adrian and Rebecca felt a commitment during all the years they were apart and decide to make it forever. Only problem is, Adrian has brought home enemies from Afghanistan who want him dead. Adrian is very good at his job in protecting Becca and himself and eliminating the bad guys. The story has a lot more sex scenes than Ms Abbotts other stories
Although I enjoyed this story, I have enjoyed her other hitman stories more. They had more action throughout the story
At first I didn’t really know what to think about this book going in. I tried very hard to love it but unfortunately the story just fell a little flat for me until about halfway where there was a bit of action happening, before that I found myself skimming most parts.
I loved how they story started with them reconnecting. I liked their interactions as well as the hot and steamy scenes between them. I did find it a little weird and annoying that Adrian all of a sudden came back and just assumes they’re going to be together and have the family he wanted.
I would’ve loved to have read about how Adrian connected with his child and how sweet he would’ve been then, instead of it briefly explaining what happened in the end.
An okay read for me
( Alexis must you use the “c†word? That is so crude. Were you raised by wolves?) Adrian hasn’t seen Rebecca for two years. This was after a one night stand. He makes demands on Rebecca showing her no respect. I understand rough sex and it’s appeal but give me a break. Adrian is an arrogant jerk. Rebecca comes off desperate.
Goldilocks said it best with "Just Right". Alexis Abbott is a favorite author of mine. I've read all the Hitman novels. This was a no question of a purchase. I absolutely loved this book. It was GO from the very first page. I didn't realize it was a short story but oh my was it fantastic. I'd have finished it earlier if that silly work thing didn't get in the way. But let me tell you it had it all. Second chance love, danger, secrets and a few gasps. I really enjoyed the no holds bar attitude from Adrian. He took control. I love the animalistic vibe I got from him. He took Rebecca from the beginning. It was hot and I loved it. Rebecca was not a weak woman. She held her own. I loved them together. If I had an emotional connection with the characters I'd have no problem with giving 5 Stars. My only downfall was the missing introduction of Adrian to his child. I'd really loved to have read this scene. But I guess my imagination will have to do. Bravo. Really great read. I'd highly recommend. One click worthy.
