I liked this story. I wouldn't call it a novel, it is a bit too short for a novel and I look at it more as an inspiring story.I won't spoil the plot here, I will just say that it is very engaging and I read it in one sitting. The writing flows easily and there is nothing pretentious about it, as I can sometimes see in stories that deal with subject matter like this one does. It is a good book, touching and entertaining at the same time and I recommend it if you have couple of hours to spare. Only thing that I would like to change is the length of it and I am not too fond of the ending. Other than that, thumbs up.

This whole story is very relatable for me. I've been battling depression for years and in many ways no one seemed to understand why. Much like Jodie, I've had partners that never fully understood me because of my past. In this case, these are my thorns. Jodie is a single rose amongst the thorns of her troubles. From the death of her mother to the birth of her own child, she takes these tools and learns how to live and thrive despite the hardships she faces.
This is an inspirational novel that I think everyone should read and think about. We all have thorns in our path. They could be from abuse, alcoholism, depression, PTSD, and so much more. I learned a lot from this book and everyone else can as well. The writing is phenomenal and the characters are very well developed as well as the plot. Please read this book, you will not be disappointed!
There are no slow parts. You are caught up into Jodie's life as she struggles and succeeds. In the end you are reminded that life is messy and requires courage to get by.
As an avid novel reader, I find this book not quiet good. The twists are too easy to predict and the story is cliched. It jumps into one story to another too fast and sometimes lacking coherence. There is a lot of missing in this story. I find it boring, but if you want an easy read you might want to give this book a try. You might like it.
This was an amazing, timely story that should be read by all. I couldn't put it down. My first book by this author and I got to say that I am so impressed. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I am looking forward to read more from the author.
Wow!! All the twists and turns in this book were fantastic. I couldn't even put it down. From the time I started reading about Jodie, I wanted more. Just when I was taken in by one story line, another one came forth based on another family member. Oh yea, this author is on to a GREAT series. I hope it will be a series. Normally I only read nonfiction and this story has me waiting for the next. Great JOB!!
