An ambitious Singapore gangster recruits an elite hacker to steal a devastatingly powerful quantum computer and hijack the world's financial markets. Meanwhile, a beautiful streetwise CIA agent is determined to foil their plan in a case that could make or break her career.

With settings ranging from Detroit to Singapore to the slums of Bihar, India (the "Sicily of India"), *Qubit* examines both the vulnerability of our cryptographic infrastructure and corruptibility of our financial systems. The story features international intrigue, a violent gang war, an unlikely love story, and an intricate cryptographic chess match that takes place as the global economy teeters on the brink of collapse.

“Brilliant…Well written with complex characters…An author to follow.”

“Outstanding! The characters…are wonderfully fleshed out.”

OK... I have no idea what some of this stories financial techno talk meant or how to understand the workings and output of a quantum computer...but that said, this thriller is pretty intense and starkly reality based. The characters are well formed and move the story along with grim, believable actions. The criminals are bad to the bone and those coerced are up against the wall trying to find a way out. Oddly we also spend time in the heads of the overlord criminals and their's is a tough and complex reality we glimpse in their actions and experiences...which are pretty bad. Much of this tale is foreign based and the movements within strange systems are unfamiliar and a lot to enfold into a story. But Mr. Finn does an admirable job in acquainting his readers with what must be known about the legal, crime and financial terrains to create a credible environment for his story. It's a story worth reading.

Qubit edition by Finn Mack Mystery Thriller Suspense eBooks Reviews

This is a very absorbing story mostly based on a technology that makes one wonder if it is real. The beginning is somewhat confusing until the cast of characters is fully developed but once the plot begins to unwind this is a tale that's hard to put down. I look forward to more from this author.
Well written, I did not notice any significant grammar/spelling mistakes like many self published have, and a GREAT story ala the Swordfish or Bourn Identity movies or a great tom clancy novel.
The tech is withing the theoretical possible and is really just a mcguffin for the actual story an espionage spy triller with realistic seeming people.
I didnt care for the kidnapping/torture/rape in the story but it was only a little gratously graphic and was a serious and essential part of the overall story- realistic but more realism than I enjoy in my entertainment reading.
I expected a bit more Sci-fy / tech to the story and there seemed to be a few threads left hanging at the end that might lead to a sequel, but the ending definetly ENDED the story it wasnt just a cliff hanger like so many other self publish novels seem to be.
Honestly I dont know why Finn Mack hasnt been picked up by a big publisher yet...
Non-stop reading at its best. I read this book in 2 days and was only able to set it aside to get some much needed sleep. A great trip into the alien world of high finance and super computers with enough mystery and intrigue to keep things moving at the speed of light... or a quantum computer at the very least. Well done Finn Mack
I almost stopped reading this story when he was building the Quantum computer and was being drawn in. However when it became a personal battle with romantic underpinnings it got easier to read. There was a lot of realistic story telling going on which was a bit scary. But in the end it was a great read.
Basic financial computer hacking plot that works because of sympathetic characters, good writing, and believable tech details. Aimed at more demanding readers than typical entries on the best seller lists. Looking forward to Mr. Mack's next book. Recommended.
Clever nerd takes hacking job and gets in too deep with nasties in India and Singapore. Depth added by the main protagonist's (the nerd again) daughter being taken hostage, and a love interest with a cia agent. The nasties could have had a little more depth, but this didn't detract from the story
Interesting concept on how a an illegal activity can quickly grow out of proportion and turn dangerous. The resolution was reasonable. Characters were well developed. The combination of worldwide financial markets and computer technology used to control those markets was fascinating. Aspects of criminal ruthlessness appeared throughout the story, adding a dark side to the reading.
